Summer Reading 2022: An Ocean of Stories

Join the Amherst Public Library this summer, June 13 through July 20, for Summer Reading 2022: An Ocean of Stories!

We offer three “fintastic” reading programs for all ages!


Kids Summer Reading Club: Birth through entering 5th grade
Young Adult Summer Reading Club: Entering 6th through 9th grade
Adult Summer Reading: 10th grade through adults


All ages have the chance to win “jawsome” prizes and Grand Prize drawing entries!
Visit the original 1906 library building on Park Avenue beginning Monday, June 13 to get started! Reading records and entries will be available for pick up 1pm – 7pm Monday through Thursday and 1pm – 4pm Friday and Saturday until the expansion and renovation project is completed.


Storytime in the ParkEvery Monday, June 13 through July 18 (Except July 4), 10:30am
Join us at the Amherst Township Park (44780 Middle Ridge Rd) for a family storytime designed for preschoolers and younger elementary children to enjoy stories, songs, and fun! This program may be cancelled in the event of thunderstorms.


Summer Craft DaysEvery Wednesday, June 15 through July 13, 2pm – 6pm
Visit us on the library’s front lawn for weekly Summer Craft Days every Wednesday during Summer Reading! Every week we’ll be featuring a new, kid-friendly craft. No registration required. This program will be moved indoors in the event of inclement weather.
