The Friends of the Amherst Public Library are a non-profit organization of area residents who believe in the library and its services.
Our Purpose: To support and promote the Amherst Public Library and all of its activities.
What We Do: The Friends provide financial and volunteer help by sponsoring programs and activities within the library. The Annual Author Luncheon is held October and book sales are held throughout the year.
Meetings: Meetings are held on the fourth Wednesday of the month at 11 a.m. Due to the addition and renovation construction at the library, the Friends general meetings will take place at the Lorain County Metroparks Beavercreek Facility (913 N. Lake Street, Amherst). There is no meeting in December.
