Outreach

Children’s Outreach Services

The library provides age-appropriate books to young children in participating daycare sites throughout our service district. The Outreach to Daycare program helps set the foundation for reading and a love of books in young children by making books and other library materials accessible to young people in both public and private daycare facilities. Home daycare providers are encouraged to contact the library for more information on this service.

Home Outreach Services

Amherst Public Library provides free home delivery of library materials to any resident within our service district who is home-bound due to age, illness, or physical disability. This service is available on a short-term or long-term basis. Our outreach specialists deliver selected and requested materials based on your personal profile.
