Public Computers
The Amherst Public Library has public computers in the 1st floor Business Center and in the 2nd floor Young Adult area that offer free Internet access, Microsoft Office programs, and a variety of information databases. Patrons log on for one hour sessions using their library card. If a patron does not have a library card, a guest pass may be obtained from the Information Desk. Computer time automatically extends if there is no one waiting to use a computer. Library cards do not have to be in good standing for a patron to use the computers. Printing is available for $.10 per page for black and white and $.25 per page for color. Money must be added to the patron’s card at the Print Release Station before printing is enabled.
In addition to our public computers, the Amherst Public Library offers free Wi-Fi through the library. No login is required for wireless access.
