Rubber Duck-orating Contest

The rubber duck-orating contest returns to the Amherst Public Library in 2026!  Unleash your creativity and “duck-orate” a rubber duck this summer! Register for your duck, give it a unique makeover, and return it to enter our quacking good contest! 

This contest is open to all ages! Registration is required. Register online or call the library at 440-988-4230 after 12pm on Monday, July 13. Early registration is not available. One duck per person please!

Once all ducks are submitted, waddle on over to the library to vote for your favorites!  Don’t miss out! See the timeline below:

July 13 – Duck registration opens at 12pm

July 20 – Duck pick-up begins at the second floor Information Desk

August 1 – Last day for duck drop-off

August 3 – 22 – Display and voting

August 28 – Winners announced, pick up and take home ducks

September 15 –  Last day to claim your duck!
