Storytimes

07/16/24 @ 10:30am – 07/16/24 @ 11:00pm Offsite Amherst Public Library Meet us at the Amherst Township Park (44780 Middle Ridge Rd) for stories, songs, and outdoor fun designed for children of all ages and their caregivers. We’ll be at the park every Tuesday, June 4 through July 16 at 10:30am. This program may be cancelled in the event of thunderstorms.

07/17/24 @ 10:30am – 07/17/24 @ 11:00am Community Room B Amherst Public Library Stories, songs, and rhymes for babies and little ones up to 24 months old and their caregivers. We’ve moved Waddlers to a special time for the summer! 

07/19/24 @ 11:15am – 07/19/24 @ 11:45am Community Room A/B Amherst Public Library Stretch, sing, dance, and jump along in this fast-paced storytime!  This storytime is designed for children ages 2-6 and their caregivers, and will include stories, songs, instruments and more! Registration is not needed for these sessions.

07/27/24 @ 11:15am – 07/27/24 @ 12:00pm Community Room A/B Amherst Public Library Registration is required. Registration starts: 12/31/1969 @ 7:00pm Registration end: 07/27/2024 @ 11:15am A program designed for children who may not be successful in a typical storytime program! Join for a monthly Saturday Adapted Storytime at 11:15am. Children with varying learning styles and abilities are invited to come together in a supported environment to participate in stories, songs, and activities where respect for differences is practiced and encouraged. The program will last 15-20 minutes, followed by social time.Content is designed for ages 3-7, but all ages are welcome!  Parents and siblings are also welcome and encouraged to attend!Registration is required for each monthly session. Do you have a preschooler or kindergartner about to ride the bus for the first time? Join us for a special school bus storytime! Kids will get to meet a school bus driver, learn how to ride safely, and get a close-up look at what it’s like to ride to school with a bus ride around the block!Designed for ages 3-5, but all children are welcome to attend. Children must have an adult present who will ride the bus with them.Registration is required for children only. Please register each child separately.
