Large Format Printer

The Amherst Public Library has a Roland TrueVIS VG3 54″ Printer/Cutter available for patron print jobs. Patrons can print full-color banners, posters, stickers, and window clings on rolls of material either 30 inches or 54 inches wide. The maximum width for jobs printed on 30 ” paper is approximately 27″. The maximum width for jobs printed on 54 ” paper is approximately 51″.

The following materials are available to print on:

  • Premium Matte Paper 30″ or 54″ wide
  • Solvent Glossy Paper 30″ or 54 ” wide
  • White Static Cling 30″ or 54″ wide
  • Clear Static Cling 30″ or 54″ wide
  • Matte Permanent Adhesive Vinyl 30″ or 54″ wide
  • Glossy Permanent Adhesive Vinyl 30″ or 54″ wide
  • Clear Permanent Adhesive Vinyl 30″ wide
  • Lightweight Banner Vinyl 30″ or 54″ wide
  • WallFlair Removable Adhesive Vinyl 30″ or 54″ wide

The cost for printing is $3.00 per linear foot for 30″ wide paper and $6.00 per linear foot for 54″ wide paper. Grommets are available at no additional cost. Files can be printed sideways to accommodate widths larger than 51″.

Patrons are responsible for supplying completed design files in as high a resolution as possible to ensure a high-quality print. Staff are unable to provide graphic design assistance. The library is not a professional print shop and can not guarantee print shop-level quality.

Files can be submitted to LargePrinter@amherstpubliclibrary.org or by bringing in a flash drive to the Business Center. Files must be submitted in PDF, JPEG, PNG, or EPS (RGB Adobe Illustrator) format. Patrons must specify print size, material, and any special instructions. Staff will prepare and print your files and may assist in adding cut lines if requested. Please include your contact information with file submissions. Staff may contact you to clarify details of your request, provide a pricing quote, or suggest modifications. Printer submissions will be added to a queue and printed by material type in order of submission. Turnaround time is not guaranteed. There are no print-on-demand or walk-in services.
